What is Valerois Studio Nova?
Valerois Studio Nova, “Nova”, is an AI workspace made by Valerois. Nova is the assistant inside it: it answers questions, writes and edits text and code, and, in the desktop app, can work with files, run commands and open web pages on your computer when you allow it. It runs as a desktop app on Windows, macOS (beta) and Linux, and as a web app at studio.valerois.com.
Is Nova free?
Yes, to start. The Free plan costs $0 with normal usage and a 64K context. Paid plans are Plus ($6 a month), Pro ($15) and Max ($39); yearly billing is two months free. Local runtimes and your own API keys are always unlimited, because they do not use our compute.
How do I install Nova on Windows?
From the Microsoft Store: open the Nova page (Store ID 9NJF9ZQN6H2G) and choose Get. The Store installs and updates it, so there is no SmartScreen warning and no installer to run by hand.
Is this the same as Amazon Nova or other products called Nova?
No. Valerois Studio Nova is an app and assistant made by Valerois, an independent AI research company. It is not affiliated with other products or models that share the name.
What can Nova touch on my computer?
Only the folder you give it. Ordinary work in that folder happens without asking; risky actions, such as deleting recursively, pushing to a remote, installing system software or typing on your desktop, ask first. On Windows it can drive other apps only when you allow it.
What is Supernova mode?
Supernova mode plans the work, builds it in proven steps, verifies it, and then has a second model review it. It is for work that has to hold, and it is included in the Pro and Max plans.
Where does my data go?
In the desktop app your chats, settings, keys and folder permissions live on your computer. What you send to Nova is passed to the AI model provider that produces the answer, so do not send secrets you do not want a provider to process. An optional cloud copy of your chats can be turned off or deleted in Settings. We use no advertising or tracking cookies and run no analytics on the app. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Can I use my own API keys or local models?
Yes. Local runtimes and your own API keys are always unlimited on every plan.
How do I cancel?
In one click, in Settings, Account, Manage subscription. The plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and then does not renew.
Who makes Nova?
Valerois, a small AI research company. Its research is Heimdall, a constant-memory language model architecture trained on a single GPU. See valerois.com.
