Accessibility
Last updated: 31 October 2026
We want valerois.com and nova.valerois.com to work for everyone, and we aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA. This is our own assessment, not an external audit.
What we do
- Everything works with a keyboard. Focus is always visible, and a “Skip to content” link comes first.
- On the home page of valerois.com the four points of the star can be reached with the arrow keys, Page Up and Page Down, the space bar, the buttons under the star, or the links in the header. On phones the same content is a normal page.
- If your system asks for reduced motion, animations, the mascot’s movement and page transitions are turned off.
- Text uses high contrast on both the dark and the paper sections, resizes with your browser settings, and the pages reflow down to 320 px wide.
- Decorative graphics, the star and the mascot are hidden from screen readers. Charts have a text description next to them.
- Content is in plain HTML: pages read correctly without JavaScript, and nothing is stored in your browser.
Known gaps
- Some pixel-mono labels are small. You can enlarge the page with the browser zoom.
- The Nova apps themselves (desktop and web) are covered by their own checks, which are still in progress.
